Police in Greece have arrested the leader of the country’s far-right Golden Dawn party, authorities said on 28 September 2013. The arrest of Nikolaos Michaloliakos and several other party officials comes as police are investigating the 17 September fatal stabbing of a left-wing activist and rapper, Pavlos Fissas. According to media reports Mihaloliakos and Ilias Kasidiaris, member of parliament and party press spokesman of Greek far-ight Chryssi Avghi (Golden Dawn), along with 34 others were arrested on charges of alleged formation of a criminal organisation.
